When Agariya Heet-Rakshak Manch (AHRM) was established, the founders made a strategic decision to include one-third representation from the Agariya community among its trustees. This approach was rooted in the belief that the organization should be directly guided by the community’s perspective, experiences, and insights. It also aimed to ensure that AHRM remains continuously accountable to the community it serves, maintaining a close connection to their needs and aspirations.
In its formative years, AHRM received invaluable guidance from the late Dr. Vasant Parikh and Shri Arvind Acharya, who embodied the principles of simplicity, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to the highest standards of accountability towards themselves and society. Their examples set the foundation for AHRM’s ethos, inspiring a model of service that places the Agariya community at the heart of all its endeavors.
