Today government has started Rann Shalas for the kids of Agariyas at workplace. These schools are run in smart classes made up by modifying old buses of state transport. Bus has LCD TV, fans, water supply, blackboard and all other educational material which makes it a “SMART CLASS”.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and Education departments runs these schools which are started once Agariyas migrate to desert or to coast. Teachers are allocated from nearby village schools. One community teacher known as “Balmitra” is also appointed which assist teacher. Like mainstream schools Rann Shalas kids get milk in the morning, mid-day meals in afternoon and nasta post lunch at 4 pm.
The attendece of the Rann shalas is merged with mainstream schools as these kids are going to regular schools till September and migrate thereafrer.
Kids above 5th standard are enrolled in hostels situated on the periphery blocks of LRK. These are seasonal hostels are run by SSA and SMC jointly.
