Little Rann of Kutch has been one of the very favorite site for Photographers as it has beautiful wild life, a unique ecosystem, Wild Assess, Birds, and Off course Agariyas. Cracked mudflat spread over 5000 sq. km. Agariyas reside scattered and use around 2.3% of the total Rann area for traditional salt farming.

Vadagaru/Poda salt is crystal salt produced traditionally without use of any chemical. This is used in food items, traditional preservator for ingredients, used during many customs as it is considered to symbol of “Shubh” (good), also has many medicinal use.

Same cracked land is now filled with rain water and sea water intruded from mouth of Rann. This makes it brackish water lake, an ideal natural prawn habitat.

Prawns – largely exported. Around 3500 families belonging to Miyana community earn their livelihood from prawn fishing.
